Litigation is expensive, emotionally and financially! Therefore, our approach to representing our clients’ interests is to truthfully and objectively review the facts of their matter; then, based on the facts, the law and our years of experience, make a recommendation which we feel would be the most advantageous approach to resolving their issue.
In litigation, one must always remember there are two sides to every story and hence two interpretations of the same set of facts; an effective advocate must educate the client that ‘the opposition believes their version of the facts as passionately as you believe yours’.
In the end, it is the client who chooses the direction in which we go. We advocate the desired resolution, but the client is the one who is in control.
